Corporate Tax Senior

RPG Chartered Accountants is a well-established, independent firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers based in central Manchester.  We also have an office in North Wales where RPG Chartered Financial Planners, our financial planning and wealth management business, and RPG Payroll Services are located.

We are looking to recruit two Corporate Tax Seniors into our specialist tax department, based at our office in central Manchester.

About RPG Chartered Accountants:

Our team comprises approximately 100 people across various service lines within the RPG Group.  This means that we are able to look after a wide range of business clients, with turnovers ranging from £50,000 to over £600 million. We act across a breadth of business sectors and some of the work we carry out is highly specialist.

We also have a number of clients with overseas interests and we are supported in this through our membership of DFK International which is a tax, audit and accounting services organisation with independent member firms based across 90 countries. The purpose of the role

The purpose of the role is to provide internal and client facing support on both advisory and compliance assignments.

The key responsibilities will be shared between the two new roles and will include:

Corporation Tax

  • Preparing Corporate Tax computations for our audit team
  • Assisting the audit team on their Corporation Tax audits
  • Review of complex Corporate Tax computations for the BSG (accounts) team
  • Managing Quarterly Instalment Payments
  • Capital Allowance computations and reviews

Research & Development

  • Management of existing R&D tax credit claims

Remuneration Planning

  • Employment Related Security returns (ERS)
  • Establishing Enterprise Management Incentive Schemes (EMI’s)

Transaction support for projects including

  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Purchase of own shares
  • Corporate restructuring

Requirements

  • CTA qualified or working towards qualification, ideally along with an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets
  • Excellent organisational skills
