Our colleagues at DFK UK and Ireland invited us to take part in the #UKI40DaysWalking challenge. The rules were very simple – the team with the highest number of steps would win!
There were three teams with members from RPG Chartered Accountants, RPG Business Recovery and RPG Chartered Financial Planning.
One of the RPG teams – Best Pace Scenario – won the challenge with an impressive 2,800,475 steps which equates to an average of a very respectable 11,668 steps per day for each of 40 days! Congratulations to team members Helen Rutter, Janet Goddard, Martin Chatten, Faye Howarth, Jill Murray and Gareth Hunt.
The weather conditions ranged from cold bright days to blizzards, floods and raging winds; and much of the walking was done in pitch blackness. We chronicled the experience with weekly photo montages which tell their own story.
We’d like to congratulate every person in the DFK teams in UK and Ireland who took the time out to walk for 40 days and we would also like to wish the best of luck to those colleagues from across DFK International who are talking part in the DFK Marching through March challenge. This year the challenge is raising sponsorship funds in support of UNICEF in their Ukraine relief effort.
The RPG Group has made a donation to the DFK International Marching through March Just Giving appeal for UNICEF’s work in Ukraine in recognition of the many steps walked by all of the RPG steppers in the Best Pace Scenario, Red Hot Chilli Steppers and Pimp My Stride teams.
Weʼre raising £3,000 to support UNICEF in their Ukraine relief effort. Donate here.
