Following the resounding success of last year’s RPG Grow Off which featured sunflowers, this year our challenge is to grow runner beans! Those taking part have been supplied with soil and two runner bean seeds and are now encouraging their plants to grow!
Judging will take place on Wednesday 24th August and the key criteria are:
- The Longest Bean (will be measured with a tape measure)
- The Heaviest Bean (will be measured with a digital weighing scale); and,
- The Number of Bean Pods (which will include all sizes of pods on the plant/harvested from the plant at the finishing date.)
