We were delighted to welcome colleagues from both offices (Manchester and St Asaph) at our annual Away Day learning session. This year, the focus for the day was “How to better understand our clients; their goals and needs.”
The RPG Group Away Day 2024, which took place at the Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in Manchester, started with a presentation chaired by RPG Group Managing Director, Jonathan Brownson. Jonathan presented his regular update and RPG directors gave detailed updates from across the RPG Group including RPG Chartered Accountants, RPG Chartered Financial Planners, RPG Payroll Services and RPG Business Recovery. The sessions included a review of the major technological transformation the firm is currently undergoing, reviewing the significant operational impact to date.
We were delighted to be joined by several new team members including those who came in advance of their start dates which gave them a great insight into the firm and an opportunity to meet future colleagues.
The RPG Group Away Day is primarily a learning session as one of our main objectives as a firm is for all of our colleagues to achieve their potential.
We were very pleased to welcome Ashley Boroda to lead the afternoon session. As well as being an IMA coach, Ashley also runs business growth and communications training. The first activity was a funny story writing challenge for each team which was an excellent ice breaker. The remainder of Ashley’s session involved role play with colleagues, learning new communication techniques along the way and looking in particular at the best way to ask questions of each other and potentially of clients.
The whole day provided opportunities for us to meet with colleagues from different departments and offices, ideal to develop relationships and bonds. At the close of the session there was further opportunity to mingle and chat with a drinks and canapés reception.
