We are very pleased to announce that Crawfords Chartered Accountants have joined RPG. The deal completed on Wednesday 31st March 2021 and the new firm will be known as Royce Peeling Green incorporating Crawfords.

RPG’s Group Managing Director, Jonathan Brownson said: “We are delighted to welcome the Crawfords team and their clients into the RPG Group.  We have known and respected the partners of Crawfords for many years and were very aware of the perfect fit between our two firms. We are extremely positive about the future for Royce Peeling Green incorporating Crawfords.”

Since the deal was announced in February, there has been detailed planning on the overall integration of the two businesses including IT and other internal systems.  This was to ensure a smooth transition, both for colleagues and clients.

RPG’s software support supplier, Awareness Software, have worked tirelessly to bring the two sets of IT infrastructure together so that we can provide a seamless service for all of our clients.

Daniel Prais, former Crawfords Partner and now Group Board Director of Royce Peeling Green incorporating Crawfords said:  “I have been delighted by the warmth of welcome we have received from RPG.  Since the deal was announced, colleagues from both firms have been meeting in a weekly social Zoom call during which there have been “round the screen” discussions on subjects ranging from favourite movies to first cars, followed by the weekly quiz.  This has been an ideal ice breaker and introduction for both sets of colleagues.”

The team from Crawfords will bring an additional depth of experience especially in some highly specific sectors.  RPG Business Recovery will benefit with the arrival of Crawfords’ insolvency experts:  David Kaye, Alex Kachani and Tony Chan.  In addition RPG have recruited a new Licenced Insolvency Practitioner Gareth Hunt who has joined the firm from Beesley Corporate Recovery

Indeed since the beginning of March RPG have been joined by six new colleagues across several departments and we are continuing to recruit in specialist areas.  These appointments will help us to continue to provide an excellent service and to develop more areas of expertise for our clients.

Jonathan Brownson continued: “This latest development in RPG’s history strengthens us still further, ensuring that we can continue to provide our clients with the commercial advice and personal service they expect from us.

“We will be able to strengthen and further develop our position in Manchester and further afield.  We plan to expand our areas of service and sector specialism while staying focussed on strong relationships with our clients.”

Thanks go to our legal advisers; RPG were advised by BBS Law and Crawfords were advised by Davis Blank Furniss.  We would also like to thank Barclays for their support.
