Property accountants can advise on a broad range of aspects of investing into all manner of homes and commercial premises, including property taxes like stamp duty and capital gains.
And a new survey reveals that investing in property is the first choice for people throughout the UK, beating renewable energy into second place on the list of investment choices for the British public.
The research was carried out by OnePoll on behalf of Abundance Generation, the crowdfunding platform regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
It revealed that property is the preferred investment opportunity for 43% of Brits, with renewable energy finding its way into 33% of portfolios and 23% looking to traditional fossil fuels.
Bruce Davis, co-founder and joint managing director of Abundance Generation, said: “Britain is a nation in love with property, so it’s no wonder this is at number one.”
He adds that it is significant that renewables now rank more highly than traditional forms of energy generation, as investors become more environmentally aware.
This could also play a part in the top-ranked investment choice in the years to come too, as property tax is likely to increasingly be linked to energy performance – something property accountants can help you to prepare for as legislation is amended and introduced.
