New Head of Tax joins RPG

Jonathan Brownson, Group Managing Director at RPG, has announced a new senior recruit to the RPG group.

“We are delighted to announce that Nick Donohue joined the group as Head of Tax in mid March. Nick brings a wealth of experience to enhance the tax offering across Royce Peeling Green and RPG Chartered Financial Planners further” said Jonathan.

Nick, joins from Baldwins accountants where he was office managing partner at their Bolton office.  He has over 20 years of experience working in tax having held a number of senior roles at Baldwins, CLB Coopers and Grant Thornton.

With a strong track record in dealing with taxation for directors and shareholders of SMEs, Nick has worked with a wide range of individuals and businesses across a variety of industry sectors building close working relationships with his clients.

Nick’s experience covers all major areas of taxation, but his particular areas of technical expertise include remuneration planning, employee share schemes, R&D tax credit claims, dealing with HMRC enquiries and helping shareholders realise value through company reorganisations, disposals and longer term exit planning.

Nick said: “I have developed an excellent professional network across the North West with whom I work closely, and I intend to develop this further at RPG.”
