Prime minister David Cameron used the Conservative party conference in Manchester to outline his ambition to close any remaining north-south divide – something accounting services in Manchester can help local businesses and self-employed contractors to play their part in.
Mr Cameron told delegates: “Here in Manchester, let me say this: when I say ‘a land of opportunity for all’ I mean everyone, north and south.
“This country has been too London-centric for far too long.”
It is a sentiment many north-west businesses are likely to agree with, regardless of their political leanings.
While London dominates the south-east, the north-west has the dual economic powerhouses of Manchester and Liverpool, along with good transport links to England’s ‘second city’, Birmingham.
This makes the Midlands and the North as a whole an important and broad market within which to do business – and any remaining north-south divide is likely to continue to close in the years to come.
Accounting services in Manchester will continue to serve local business clients on everything from income-related issues to property tax on commercial estates, helping the region to thrive in the future.
