Personal Tax Manager
Royce Peeling Green Limited (RPG) is a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in central Manchester. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Personal Tax Manager to join our well-established and supportive tax team.
Our tax team has a strong reputation for delivering expert advice across a broad range of tax matters. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable tax professional to manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients and provide high-quality advisory and compliance services.

Requirements:
- ATT/CTA/STEP qualification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional practice.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills٫ with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK personal tax legislation, including CGT, IHT, and residence rules.
- Experience managing client relationships and handling a portfolio independently.
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
As a Personal Tax Manager, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, directors, and trusts.
- Oversee the preparation and review of personal tax returns, trust returns and inheritance tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide tax planning advice on areas such as inheritance tax, capital gains tax, international tax and trust taxation.
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and manage tax risk and compliance matters.
- Develop and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for tax matters.
- Stay up to date with tax legislation.
- Manage WIP and the billing process.
- The firm is accredited with the ICAEW to offer estate administration services and there are further opportunities if interested to get involved in probate work.
